The Chatfield Family began on a very hot day in June 1987. Tim and NiQui had a lovely wedding in Columbus, OH with family and friends in attendance. The young newlyweds spent four years learning about each other and preparing for a family. In the early fall of 1991, their first child arrived, a son named Zane. Two years later, right on schedule, a second child, a daughter, Claire, was born. The status quo family of 4 began their journey together. And then five years later the Chatfield family was amazed by the birth of three new babies in just four years. Now, with 5 children and many parental lessons learned, the Chatfield’s were inspired to create a dynasty. This group of relatives decided there was more to life than wandering through each day; they wanted to build something together, a strong team. Now, today, the Chatfield’s live, work, learn, and play together every day.

Over the years, Tim and NiQui have gathered many tools which have enabled them to create the company 3 Birds on a Fence. Through 3 Birds on a Fence, Tim and NiQui have established many partnerships and projects utilizing their skills and interests. Progress Academy was founded in 2005 to help families homeschool with flexible and innovative online curriculum. Tim and NiQui also run a non-profit homeschool association, called Home Educators Community, for families in the state of Ohio. The latest project FuseFly is a safe, filtered, social network for teens and their parents.
